35 Years of the International Atelier for Metal Sculpture
Celebrating the Legacy of Form and Fire
In 2019, the Center for Contemporary Art – Prilep marked the 35th anniversary of the International Atelier for Metal Sculpture. As part of the annual Art Summer program, artists from North Macedonia and Serbia came together to honor a tradition forged in fire and shaped by vision.
Book Launch: "Shining Star with a Lion’s Mane"
Poetry meets diplomacy in Prilep
In November 2018, CSLU-Prilep organized the official promotion of the poetry book "Shining Star with a Lion’s Mane" by H.E. Prof. Milan Jazbec, PhD – Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia. The event featured a curated design and production of the printed edition and was hosted by Ognen Janeski.
Urban Marko: “With Marko on the Street” Festival (2018)
A street art festival inspired by cultural legacy
In October 2018, CSLU-Prilep launched the first edition of the festival “With Marko on the Street”, dedicated to reviving cultural memory through urban art and modern technology. The festival offered street installations, concerts, workshops, performances, and a multimedia program inspired by the legendary folklorist Marko Cepenkov and his impact on regional identity.
55 Years of the International Sculpture Symposium in Marble – "MARBLE" (2018)
A legacy carved in stone since 1963
In July 2018, the Center for Contemporary Art – Prilep marked the 55th anniversary of the International Sculpture Symposium in Marble – "MARBLE", one of the world’s first symposiums of its kind. Since 1963, this prestigious program has brought together 164 sculptors from around the globe, contributing to a monumental heritage that defines Prilep as a city of culture and stone.
