International Mosaics Atelier (1982)

Timeless pieces, infinite stories.
Since 1982, this atelier has brought fragments together to shape meaning beyond the surface.

Launched in 1982 through the initiative of Dime Janeski, the International Mosaics Atelier revives one of the oldest art forms with a contemporary spirit. Here, art is not painted assembled, piece by piece, idea by idea. Every mosaic born from this atelier is a dialogue between tradition and modernity, between raw material and refined vision.

Artists from across the world explore composition, rhythm, and storytelling using stone, ceramic, glass, and recycled materials. The atelier becomes a place where broken fragments become beauty, and structure becomes language.

Rooted in the rich mosaic legacy of the Balkans, yet open to new interpretations, this atelier has given life to striking works that adorn public spaces and galleries alike. Each creation reflects patience, symbolism, and cultural layering — a reminder that even the smallest pieces hold power when they come together.
