Shaped by fire, grounded in tradition.
This workshop has turned the earth into enduring expressions of form and feeling.
The International Ceramics Workshop is one of CSLU – Prilep’s original artistic pillars. With clay as its medium and fire as its force, this workshop invites artists to explore the transformative relationship between earth, water, and heat, creating timeless pieces that merge function and abstraction.
Ceramics here are not merely crafts, they are contemporary expressions rooted in ancient practices. Artists sculpt, mold, glaze, and fire their visions into being, producing works that range from delicate forms to bold, structural statements.
Throughout the decades, the workshop has welcomed international ceramicists seeking both technique and freedom, while honoring the deep material traditions of the Balkans. It remains a space of experimentation, resilience, and deep tactile engagement — where every fingerprint tells a story, and every fired object carries its quiet flame.
