International Atelier for Artistic Photography (1978)

Light, lens, and legacy.
Since 1978, this atelier captures more than images — it frames emotion, place, and time.

Established in 1978 at the initiative of Prof. Dr. Bosko Babic, the International Atelier for Artistic Photography introduced a new visual language into the creative repertoire of CSLU – Prilep. This atelier explores photography not only as documentation but as a full-fledged art form, bridging the gap between reality and artistic imagination.

Throughout the years, photographers from diverse backgrounds have come together to capture the spirit of Prilep, the interaction between artist and landscape, and the essence of ephemeral moments. The atelier has documented decades of artistic evolution, but it has also stood as a space for experimental visual storytelling, darkroom alchemy, and visual poetry.

Whether shot on film or digital, black-and-white or color, through analog techniques or cutting-edge lenses, this atelier preserves CSLU’s living memory — a gallery of light, shadow, and soul.
