International Studio for Plastics in Plastics (2004)
Contemporary form. Infinite transformation.
Since 2004, this studio has explored the bold language of synthetic materials in sculpture.
Founded in 2004 at the initiative of Dime Janeski and academic sculptor Predrag Janevski, the International Studio for Plastics in Plastics reflects CSLU – Prilep’s commitment to embracing new materials and contemporary techniques. This innovative workshop opens a space for experimentation in synthetic, recycled, and alternative sculptural materials, challenging traditional boundaries of form and medium.
Artists are invited to rethink plastic not as waste, but as a tool of transformation — capable of texture, translucence, weight, and structural ingenuity. Whether through casting, melting, layering, or molding, the process becomes part of the narrative, exploring topics such as sustainability, industrialization, and urban identity.
As one of the few studios in Southeast Europe, this atelier positions Prilep on the cutting edge of modern sculpture — a space where material meets meaning, and the future of form is forged.
