To mark 60 years of artistic creation, CSLU-Prilep organized a multimedia celebration with panel discussions and retrospective exhibitions in Prilep and Štip.

n 2017, the Center for Contemporary Visual Arts – Prilep (CSLU-Prilep) proudly marked the 60th anniversary of its founding and the establishment of the International Art Colony—one of the oldest and most respected art residencies in the region.
To honor this legacy, CSLU-Prilep, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of North Macedonia, organized a series of multimedia events that reflected on its rich history and explored its future role in the cultural and artistic landscape.

Panel Discussion:
"60 Years of Artistic Creation at CSLU-Prilep – Challenges and the Future"
Held on October 6, 2017, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Borka Taleski City Library in Prilep, the discussion gathered artists, historians, curators, and cultural workers to share their experiences, visions, and challenges related to contemporary art production in the region.
Retrospective Exhibitions with Harp Performance:
Two retrospective exhibitions showcased artworks from CSLU archive spanning six decades of creative exchange and collaboration:
• October 6, 2017, from 19:30 to 21:30 at the National Institution Marko Cepenkov – Prilep
• October 20, 2017, from 19:30 to 21:30 at the National Institution Aco Šopov – Štip
Both exhibitions were accompanied by solo harp performances, adding a unique atmospheric dimension to the visual experience.
This celebration reaffirmed CSLU-Prilep's role as a key cultural institution with a lasting impact on the development of contemporary visual arts in North Macedonia and beyond.
