Gordana Babic Janeska has been part of CSLU’s backbone for nearly three decades, bridging the historical foundation of the Center with a forward-looking scholarly vision. As an art historian and archaeologist, she brings depth to the understanding of Prilep’s cultural and sculptural legacy. Her expertise was crucial in the historical contextualization and preservation of the International Sculpture Symposium – Marble, one of the world’s earliest and most prestigious events.
 

With unwavering commitment, she played a vital role in maintaining the connection between art and industry through collaboration with Mermeren Kombinat, promoting the unique Sivec marble globally. As a board member, she continues to advocate for intercultural dialogue, protection of sculptural heritage, and public access to art, leaving a permanent imprint on Prilep’s urban and artistic landscape.
