Goran Risteski

President of CSLU-Prilep (2015-today)

Professional Photographer, Cultural Strategist, Founder of New Artistic Formats

From behind the lens to the front lines of cultural preservation, Goran Risteski leads the Center for Contemporary Art – Prilep into a new era of expansion and digital transformation. As a professional photographer with deep roots in Prilep’s artistic landscape, Risteski took over as president of CSLU in 2015 and became a key force in sustaining the institution’s legacy through modern engagement and continuous innovation.

His dedication brought the launch of the International Mail-Art Studio in 2015, the first of its kind in Macedonia, and expanded the Center’s activities into 360° documentation, digital archives, and multimedia exhibition formats. Under his leadership, the Center has renewed its global connections while preserving the sacred heritage of Prilep’s cultural identity — from the ancient stones of Marko’s Towers to the timeless shine of Sivec marble. His unique perspective merges history, art, and environment into a vision that sees CSLU not only as a custodian of tradition but as a creative laboratory for the future.
